Planning a Christmas Wedding

Christmas is just over three weeks away now and  is just a wonderful time of year to get married! Friends and family are home, towns and businesses are aglow with festive lights and it is the perfect excuse to have a really glamorous party. Today we share our top tips for planning a Christmas wedding.

It doesn’t have to be red and green…

Traditionally the colours associated with Christmas are red and green, but there are so many other beautiful colour schemes you can choose for your Christmas wedding. Think of warm berry and jewel colours combined with sparkling silver and gold, or take your cue from winter and go for icy blue combined with white, cream and pale silver for a really elegant look.

Eat, drink and be merry

Treat your guests to festive Christmas fare such as warm mince pies, hot chocolate, spiced mulled wine and hot apple cider, and mini Christmas puddings.

Save the date

Christmas is a more expensive time for travel and accommodation options can be more limited, so it is wise to send out a save the date well in advance to your guests to give them an opportunity to book flights, hotel rooms and even time off work.
