Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2016 has just finished, with some gorgeous looks and trends being shown on the runways. Today we’re looking at some of our favourite wedding dress trends for 2016, taking in the top styles from both the Spring and Autumn shows.
Spring & Summer Looks
The truly fashion-forward bride will love the idea of bridal separates – a two piece wedding dress in contrasting textures, or even a cropped top with full skirt will look amazing for a summer wedding. Be aware of the style of your wedding though – a bare midriff might work better in a casual garden wedding or destination wedding on the beach, rather than in a local church wedding with a conservative mother!
Step forward from simple satin and lace dresses and into one of the most beautiful trends for 2016 – floral dresses. Again, this trend is ideal for the bride who is looking for something different and non-traditional, but still retaining the romance and softness for their big day.
Autumn & Winter Looks
Take a nod from the smoldering stars of the 1950’s and 1960’s with a beautiful off-the-shoulder gown – leaving your decolletage free for an incredible piece of jewellery.
This trend is just perfect for the bride who wants the drama of a full skirt for the ceremony, but wants to be able to kick back for the dancing and have a second look without the cost of a second dress!
